There is much benefit in self-control and self-discipline. We live in a world that is in hyper speed and gratification is never outside of arms reach with our devices and social media. We have become conditioned to pleasing and satisfying our need for validation within milliseconds with just a few clicks. In the background, I feel this is causing almost irreparable damage to our neural pathways and thought patterns and this is a major dent into our warrior energy as men. How do we re-claim this power? A great start is delaying gratification and learning to say no and disciplining ourselves.
